In my family, I’m known for making delicious meals, but when I bake cookies my family suddenly tell me they’re full. We ate too much, they’ll say rubbing their stomachs. I guess it has to do with my long history of burning baked goods, or forgetting to put an ingredient or two into a cookie recipe. Have you ever eaten a sugary burnt cookie before? Well my family tells me they have, and to please not bake anything! LOL! Over the years, I have gotten better with my baking skills. I can bake Pillsbury chocolate chip cookies and Betty Crocker cakes.
Over the past few days, I have been lying in bed completely immobile from a back injury. I have caught up on several of my favorite Youtube channels, watched a lot of reality TV, and listened to an audio-book. One Youtube video stood out to me: How to Bake Pumpkin Cake. I felt as though I could literally smell the pumpkin cake through my Ipad screen. Yesterday, I was determined to get out of my bed and bake my version of Pumpkin Cake, even if it meant slouching over and pretending I had a walker.
This recipe is quite easy, even for me, the person who burns baked goods.
Pumpkin Cake Recipe
You’ll Need:
1 Box of Betty Crocker Moist cake mix
1 can of Pumpkin(any brand)
1/2 tsp- pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp- cinnamon powder
1tbsp- coconut sugar
*Follow the instructions on the Betty Crocker box for how much oil, water, and eggs you will need.
Then mix your batter together with all the ingredients mentioned above. Put the batter into a baking dish, and bake at 375 for 45 mins.
Viola! High Five you did it! No burnt pumpkin cake here!
Please let me know how this recipe turns out for you:)!
